Annotated Run-up

When you “run-up” your engine to check systems before flight, you’ll want to know why you’re checking each line-item. Understanding WHY will help with diagnosing problems and troubleshooting! This guide is intended to remove all ambiguity and ELIMINATE the phrase “as required”, instead, you’ll know WHEN its required.

Quick Note: This is based off a 6-pack Cessna 152 with a Garmin 650, but many checks are similar in other planes, ex. C172 and other small trainers. It goes without saying, always read your POH before you fly a new-to-you plane.
